We L-O-V-E each and every couple that we work with. We perfectly understand that we are not guests at your wedding but we are treated like a good friend or even like family by our clients.
This post is just a friendly reminder to our dear wedding coordinators :) Most wedding vendors ( photographers, videographers, DJs ,etc) usually stipulate in their contract that vendor meals should be provided, most especially if they would be covering an event for 6 hours or more. Please understand that we are also human and our blood sugar levels also drop. Videographers and photographers in most cases cover an event for 8-10 hours. The little break we take to have a quick bite is vital to get our second wind until the couple's send off. Seasoned and pro wedding coordinators think and run like a well-oiled machine and they know this particular detail to a T. However, every now and then, you get to encounter coordinators who are either fairly new or "a family friend" who volunteered a helping hand to the couple. They have a lot on their plate, bless their hearts. Often times, vendors are forgotten to be fed. Here are some tips to prevent your vendors from either passing out or shutting down during an event. WHAT: Some caterers offer discounts for vendor meals, so do not feel obligated to serve your vendors the same menu as your guests. Our team will eat anything and everything, and the same goes for other vendors. Unless, they're vegetarians or have allergies on certain food items. WHEN: The best time for most vendors to take their break is when the couple and guests are eating. So far, no one has been really interested on having their photos taken or being filmed while savoring their sumptuous meal. WHERE: Different strokes for different folks. Some prefer to have a designated area away from the hustle and bustle as it gives them a "real break." Some prefer to be close to where the action is, in case something comes up and they can easily jump in to start shooting. For our team, tell us where and we'll be there. But if you can avoid placing us right beside a bathroom, we will owe you our lives. When all else fails, we have some emergency bottled water and snacks on our trunk ;) P & A
